VIP Experience
At The Center for Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry, we offer a high-end, VIP experience. We believe in a concierge-like experience—because our patients deserve to be treated like VIPs. We offer fresh coffee, water and juice in our reception room, and we even provide soft blankets and neck pillows to help you feel as comfortable as possible during your appointment. If you are feeling especially nervous about your dental visit, we have sedation dentistry to help you feel comfortable.

We offer DentalVibe, an innovative dental device that helps relieve pain from dental injections. Additionally, we use advanced technologies such as the iTero™ Digital Scanner and the Planmeca CBCT 3D Dental Imaging system, and, if you need dental implants, we even use Nobel Biocare NobelGuide® to accurately place your implants.
Patient Education
We believe in the importance of educated patients. During our new patient experience, we make sure to discuss the importance of your dental health with photography and visual aids, as well as the connection between dentistry and the whole body. Additionally, we strive to stay on top of the latest treatments in dentistry so we can find the best-fit treatment for you and your oral health needs.

Dr. Matthew Cawley
Matthew Cawley, DMD, is a General Dentist and owner of The Center for Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry. He began his journey as an intern under Dr. Brown and is proud to now work alongside her to provide high-quality dental care.
He completed his advanced General Practice Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he refined his clinical experience before completing further implant and cosmetic dentistry programs at Harvard Dental School, Dr. Arun Garg’s Implant Continuum, Spear Education and the prestigious Dawson Academy.
An active member of the International Team of Implantologists and soon-to-be fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Cawley is committed to continuing education and staying at the forefront of modern dentistry techniques.
Originally from Yorktown, VA, he now lives in Virginia Beach with his wife, Hunter.
Dr. Tanya Brown
Tanya Brown, DMD, MAGD, is the founder of The Center for Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry in Chesapeake, VA. A Dawson-trained dentist and one of the small percentage of dentists to earn Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry, she focuses on smile design, comprehensive restorative care, TMJ/airway prosthodontics, dental implants, Invisalign® and cosmetic dentistry.
A Georgia Tech and Medical College of Georgia graduate with advanced training from Spear Education and The Pankey Institute, Dr. Brown takes a meticulous and highly skilled approach to dentistry with a passion for her patients’ overall wellness.
Dr. Brown grew up just outside of Atlanta in Fayetteville, Georgia. She has lived in Virginia since 1999 and lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Richard, and their cat, Sweet Tart.
