Meet Dr. Tanya Brown

Tanya Brown, DMD, MAGD, is the founder of The Center for Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry. She is passionate about helping patients achieve optimal dental health and overall wellness. A highly accomplished dentist, Dr. Brown has studied and mastered the areas of cosmetic dentistry, smile design and restorative dentistry.

Dr. Brown is part of a highly select group of dentists nationally who have completed the core curriculum at The Dawson Academy, a prestigious dental education school. She has also completed advanced coursework courses from Spear Education, The Pankey Institute and numerous advanced courses on Invisalign® and airway prosthodontics.

Dr. Brown is a Fellow and Master at the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires over 1,500 hours of continuing education and is only achieved by less than 2% of dentists nationally.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

A believer in investing in the next generation of dentists, she has hosted countless pre-dental and pre-hygiene students in her office, including Dr. Cawley!

Dr. Brown grew up just outside of Atlanta in Fayetteville, Georgia, and now lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Richard, and their cat, Sweet Tart. Outside of the office, Dr. Brown enjoys walking around the neighborhood, getting a manicure or pedicure or working in the yard. She also loves traveling.

Dr. Brown invests in Hampton Roads to help it become a better place and has been involved in various organizations and dental initiatives, including Rotary Club of Great Bridge, Children’s Dental Health Month, and Dental Access to Care Days. She has volunteered at the Chesapeake Care Clinic and has served on the YMCA Board of Directors for the Great Bridge/Hickory YMCA.
